Program Leader - Trainee

The YMCA Geelong is seeking a passionate individual with a strong interest in outdoor education to join our team as a Program Leader - Trainee. This 12-month traineeship will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in outdoor recreation and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate camp activity programs for diverse groups of campers, including school students, and communicate effectively with school teachers and group leaders.
  • Provide direct delivery of activities to school and community groups, ensuring participants' learning outcomes are achieved.
  • Work a varied roster, including weekdays and occasional weekends, to deliver programs and support camp operations.
  • Undertake duties in areas outside of program delivery, such as light cleaning and maintenance, and assist with administrative tasks.
Leadership Opportunities:

As the year progresses, the Program Leader - Trainee will have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and take on key leadership roles, including liaising between the camp and visiting groups.
