Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Intervention Teacher to join our senior learning community in a 0.8 – Full-Time capacity. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with senior community teachers to plan and deliver targeted small-group interventions aimed at improving students' Literacy and Numeracy skills.

The role involves using data-driven approaches to support students who require additional learning assistance. This includes monitoring student progress and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs, ensuring that students receive the necessary support to succeed.

As an Intervention Teacher, you will contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment, working closely with colleagues to foster a culture of academic excellence and social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with senior community teachers to plan and deliver targeted small-group Literacy and Numeracy interventions.
  2. Use data-driven approaches to identify students who require additional learning assistance and develop targeted strategies to support them.
  3. Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  4. Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting a culture of academic excellence and social responsibility.

Requirements:
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and be registered to teach in Victoria.
