Director of Medical Services

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead our primary health care service in the West Arnhem region of the Northern Territory.
About the Role- Oversee comprehensive primary health care service delivery and lead a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and implement systems for clinical care delivery and workforce management.
- Provide medical advice and establish linkages with other health providers for optimum care coordination.
- Lead clinical quality, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Manage and support the professional development of clinical staff.
- Enhance service access and income through Medicare billings and referral pathways optimisation.
- Maintain professional development and compliance with vocational registration requirements.
- Promote a culture that respects and supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' health and wellbeing.
- Competitive Pro Rata Salary up to $309,678 + superannuation.
- Part-time based in Darwin. Full-time may be available.
- Salary packaging up to $18,550.
- 6 weeks of annual leave.
- Up to $3,500 relocation assistance through NT PHN.
- Access to Education Grants through NT PHN.

- AHPRA Registered as a Medical Practitioner.
- RACGP or FACRRM.
- Experience in leadership and coordination.
- Ability to provide clinical services across the remote areas within the West Arnhem region.
- An understanding of and commitment to the principles of continuous quality improvement.
- An understanding of how the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health and Safety apply to the delivery of primary health care services.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly in the use of electronic health record.
- Ability to travel to remote areas for periods of time by road and light aircraft.
- NT Ochre card and Criminal History Clearance.
- Full rights to work in Australia.
- Previous experience working in a remote health environment.
