About the Role

NextDC is seeking an experienced Data Centre Project Director to lead the delivery of multiple small to medium scale projects within our data centres nationally. As a key member of our Capital Works team, you will be responsible for ensuring successful project execution and managing project controls, issues and dependencies.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with thorough knowledge of NCC and BCA requirements, and town planning processes. You will bring a strong emphasis on project and construction management controls to bear within the business and project(s), and effectively report to management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of multiple small to medium scale projects ($250k to $20m) within our data centres nationally.
  • Manage project controls, issues and dependencies and ensure that appropriate governance and reporting structures are in place.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and optimisation of project outcomes.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of NCC and BCA requirements, and town planning processes.
  • Highly developed project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence, consult and deliver a quality service.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
