Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Agronomist to join our Northern team on a permanent, full-time basis. As an Agronomist at Elders, you will work closely with clients to provide agronomic technical advice, products, and services that help them achieve their goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural science or a related field, with a proven track record in sales and previous experience in an agronomy role. You will be able to thrive in a collaborative working environment, be smart, resourceful, and able to embrace industry research and new technology.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing onsite agronomic and technical support to clients to recommend appropriate products and services
  • Achieving allocated financial objectives and assisting with product forecasting and inventory management
  • Promoting branch staff upskilling by providing technical advice and product recommendations
  • Developing and fostering professional relationships with a targeted group of existing and new clients
  • Identifying and cultivating new agronomic sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients
  • Maximising promotional opportunities, including assisting at field days and farmer meetings with demonstrations and trial work
About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about effecting real change for both their clients and their community, with building and maintaining relationships at the core of your work. You should have a tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field and be able to provide high-level customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current growers.

Estimated Salary Range

$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
