About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team at Aurizon, Australia's largest rail freight operator. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of our rail infrastructure projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all construction activities are conducted safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards and specifications.
  • Contribute to design, constructability, and planning during project pre-execution phases.
  • Develop and implement each project's Construction Management Plan, including SWMS and risk assessments.
  • Identify, procure, and manage necessary resources, coordinating with RSD and assisting with contract scope and procurement.
  • Oversee on-site construction through pre-start briefs, supervision, inspections, and audits.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of Network Closures, as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:



  • An engineering or engineering trade background and over 10 years of construction experience.
  • 5 years in a supervisory role, with a Construction Management qualification preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
