About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Animation Specialist to join our team at LNW Gaming ANZ Pty Ltd. As an Animation Specialist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality animations for our Electronic Gaming Machine products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop character and prop animations using traditional 2D, 3D, and motion design techniques.
- Liaise with team members to produce animation work that meets the artistic integrity and quality of assets.
- Assist the Graphics Team Lead in providing mentorship and training in new tools and techniques to the team.
- Develop initial animation concepts and continue these through to final designs in accordance with creative briefs.
- Contribute to a range of deliverables within the EGM studio team.
- Liaise with software engineers and game designers.
Qualification Requirements
Training and/or Experience:
- 3+ years of experience working in an animation capacity, preferably within a game development studio.
- Extensive training/experience in the use of digital art and animation software, including After Effects, Trapcode, Maya, 3DS Max, or similar.
- Necessary knowledge includes all tasks related to both traditional and 3D animation, including character animation, modelling, rigging, lighting, and texturing, as well as particle systems and motion graphics development.
- Employment will also require sound traditional art skills.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A critical eye for detail and ability to follow/maintain stringent guidelines.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Gaming industry/related experience preferred.
Education:
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate art-related field are preferred, but not essential.
