Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives within a major Federal Government healthcare program.

This role supports national health outcomes by strengthening the safety, quality, and consistency of medication use across Australia.

About the Role
  • Lead all phases of project delivery including planning, scheduling, risk management, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
  • Ensure alignment of project deliverables with program objectives and organisational outcomes.
  • Develop benefits realisation plans, including measurable outputs, adoption activities, and reporting metrics.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Define work packages and oversee contributions from technical teams, communications, and stakeholder specialists.
  2. Maintain detailed risk and issue registers and oversee governance frameworks for project oversight and assurance.
  3. Drive procurement and contract activities in accordance with government procurement standards.
  4. Prepare high-quality documentation including executive briefs, reports, and presentations.
  5. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical experts, consumer groups, and healthcare providers.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship is required.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end project management within complex environments.
  • Certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) either attained or in progress.
  • Demonstrated understanding of public sector procurement practices.
  • Experience working in Government or Healthcare environments.
