About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead media activities, promoting key priorities and projects to increase public awareness of initiatives improving health in regional areas.

The role provides high-level advice, including crisis management, responding to media inquiries and supporting sites to communicate healthcare services.

This position plays a critical part in delivering quality healthcare to rural and remote residents and visitors across Western Australia.

  • Coordinate and lead all media activities for this organization.
  • Support and promote key priorities, projects and policy initiatives.
  • Provide high-level advice including crisis management advice to executives and the Minister's office.
  • Respond to media inquiries and support various sites within this organization.
  • Ensure preparedness of Public Information resources for emergency response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement media strategies to promote organizational priorities and initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with media outlets and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and disseminate information materials.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage to inform organizational responses.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in media relations and communication.
  • Strong knowledge of crisis management and public information principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
