Job Description
The ideal candidate will be conversant in online advertising technologies, have a passion for simplicity and clarity, and have a strong legal background in contract drafting and negotiation in APAC. This role will handle deal negotiations for the Asia-Pacific data and digital media practice and provide practical and business-focused guidance and support to internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the APAC legal team to create, update, and roll out contract policies and commercial/legal strategies to ensure business support as it scales.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements to support sales, marketing, and operations.
  • Work with clients and internal teams to negotiate commercial terms to align with company policies and objectives as well as mitigate potential risks involved with specific contract terms.
  • Collaborate with functional counterparts to manage issues related to data, privacy, and other matters.
  • Create, maintain, and update internal contract templates to reflect changes in the company's business and the legal landscape.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should possess 3-5+ years of experience working as an in-house counsel or at an international/local law firm. Qualified lawyers in good standing admitted to practice in a qualified jurisdiction are preferred. Experience in online advertising technologies, content, and digital media is highly regarded. Additionally, expertise in privacy, intellectual property, HR, and general corporate law is a significant plus. Fluency in English is mandatory, while proficiency in another language is desirable but not required.
