As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in acute oncology and general medical settings. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
You will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative teamwork, participate in daily discharge planning meetings, and supervise junior staff members. Additionally, you will support the learning and development of Allied Health Assistants and Occupational Therapy undergraduate students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in acute oncology and general medical settings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, including Allied Health Assistants and Occupational Therapy undergraduate students
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
