Caregiver Opportunities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Community Support Worker. This is a full-time permanent position based in Kununurra, regional Western Australia.

As a Community Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering person-centered care to our customers, ensuring they receive the highest level of support to maintain their independence.

The successful candidate will have experience in providing personal care, including showering, dressing, toileting, and administering medication. You will also be required to assist customers with domestic duties, meal preparation, and other household tasks to ensure safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care
• Assisting customers with administration of correct medication
• Assisting customers with domestic duties, meal preparation, and other household tasks
• Social Support, including transport to shops or appointments

You will be working in a supportive environment that encourages initiative and leadership. We offer a competitive rate of pay, salary package up to $18,550 per annum tax free, health insurance discounts, and an Employee Assistance Program with free counselling.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Current Australian driver's license and reliable car
• Certificate III Aged Care (desirable)
• Current First Aid certification (desirable)
• Previous experience working in the Community (desirable)
• Understanding of documentation and relevant aged care legislation
• Understanding of principles of Occupational Safety & Health and correct manual handling
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
