Job Role: Arts Learning Officer - Brass Tutor

We are seeking an experienced Instrumental Tutor to join our CAPTIVATE team on a temporary part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instrumental tuition to students in small groups and individually, as well as supporting classroom-based programs.

About the Job:

The Instrumental Tutor will undertake the following key responsibilities:

  • Deliver instrument-specific teaching to students during school time and before or after school, depending on availability and student timetables.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and bi-annual reports to parents.
  • Develop ensembles and provide instrument-specific knowledge to support rehearsals and performances before and after school.
  • Support Specialist Teachers in delivering classroom-based programs on a weekly basis during school time (band & string specialists only).
  • Deliver the classroom program when the assigned Specialist Teacher is away (band & string specialists only).
  • Lead ensembles and workshops under the guidance of the Specialist Teacher, both during school time and after school.
  • Assess, maintain, clean, tag and log instruments.

  • Relevant demonstrated experience.
