Job Title: Front End Customer Service Assistant


Job Summary: We are seeking a Front End Customer Service Assistant to join our team at Costco Wholesale. As a key member of our front-end team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, and supporting the efficient operation of our store.


Responsibilities:



  • Greet members and assist them in loading their orders onto the conveyor belt, ensuring their preferences are met.


  • Answer questions, provide information on promotions, and thank members for their business, always providing a prompt and courteous service.


  • Pack member orders into boxes and load them onto a separate trolley or flatbed, checking packaging for tampering and following all safety and security procedures.


  • Run for items as requested by cashiers to maintain a smooth checkout process, transferring items not on the belt to a separate trolley or flatbed.


  • Maintain the cleanliness of the register area and general front-end area, cleaning spills and trip hazards immediately.


  • Retrieve trolleys and flatbeds from the parking area, keeping the lot area free of debris and sweeping in front of the building.


  • Perform related tasks such as set-up and closing duties, returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning the area.


  • Assist other areas in the department as necessary and operate the mechanical trash compactor/cardboard baler.



Requirements:



  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for members.


  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.


  • Follow all safety and security procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.


  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and varied shifts.
