Expert Front-End Developer for DeFi Protocol

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Synthetix, you will be part of the Core Contributor community and help build the future of decentralized finance. The team is globally distributed, but this role requires relocation to Sydney, Australia.

Synthetic assets are generated over $60B in volume, and the protocol has a thriving ecosystem of projects that are integrated with it. As an expert front-end developer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting a wide variety of Synthetix ecosystem dApps by working closely with smart contract engineers and UX designers.
  • Create and optimize end-to-end and component tests for existing and new functionality in Cypress and unit tests with Jest.
  • Write code documentation developed by Core Contributors.
  • Develop and support client libraries to streamline integrators' developer experience.
  • Build the initial scaffolding of front-end applications with TypeScript and React that allow users to interact with the protocol.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A solid understanding of Typescript/Javascript/ReactJS with at least 5 years of work experience.
  • Strong familiarity with the broader Ethereum DeFi ecosystem.
  • Experience with trading systems and smart contracts.
  • Extensive automated testing experience and knowledge of CI tooling such as CircleCI.
  • Collaborative approach and willingness to work with others on projects.
  • Intellectually curious and comfortable with moving fast.
  • Willingness to relocate to Sydney, Australia.
