About the Role

We are seeking experienced Machine Operators to join our Laing O'Rourke Rail Operations NSW team. As a key player in our rapidly growing rail infrastructure division, you will be responsible for undertaking significant railway and transport infrastructure upgrade maintenance and projects throughout Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, and regional NSW.

Our team is currently recruiting for Machine Operators with experience in operating resurfacing, tamping, and regulator machines, as well as those with experience in operating excavators, front-end loaders, and hi-rail equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy machinery in a safe and efficient manner to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Participate in mandatory training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to Laing O'Rourke's safety principles and protocols.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in railway maintenance and operations.
  • Current driver's license and Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW).
  • Track safety awareness and ability to pass a CAT 3 medical.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
