Key Responsibilities
  • Completion of allocated engineering design tasks to the required standard
  • Carry out interdisciplinary design reviews and checks
  • Assist in the development of Safety-in-Design requirements, Human Factors, Project Hazard Logs, HAZID, Risk Assessments and Risk Control identification
  • Support other engineering activities to ensure project compliance with obligations and requirements
  • Assist in the development of requirements schemes based on the Systems Engineering Management Plan
  • Working with the various engineering teams, in the development and maintenance of requirements from the Business level to Asset level, to Product level
  • Conduct Engineering activities as required ensuring the works are completed within specified scope and timeframes
  • Engage and liaise with all internal and external groups and key-stakeholders
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Communications Engineering or equivalent
  • Communications Engineering certified
  • Eligible to be a Member of the Institute of Engineers Australia
  • Experience in large scale, multi-discipline projects including infrastructure, railway, Do D, Utilities, Oil & Gas
  • Extensive knowledge of communications systems including fibre optics, RF communications and other various comms systems
  • Some knowledge in systems for Electrical Engineering including LV & HV electrical systems, switchboards and equipment selection, earthing and bonding, and protection systems
  • Proficient skills in design software across the various aspects of the role
  • Proficient skills in general computer applications: MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Email and Teams
  • Proficient skills in Auto CAD design software, developing of network diagrams, schematics and other comms drawings
