About the Role

Mission Australia is seeking a highly skilled Asset Officer to join our team. As an Asset Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the regular and emergency maintenance of our properties is up to date and that tenants are well informed and supported in their requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and Prioritize Maintenance Needs
    • Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance needs and determine priorities
    • Communicate expectations to tenants and stakeholders
  • Supervise and Coordinate Site Contractors
    • Oversee the work of site contractors to ensure high-quality maintenance
    • Coordinate and schedule maintenance tasks
  • Undertake Building/Property Maintenance Tasks
    • Perform routine and planned maintenance tasks
    • Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with corporate standards
  • Ensure Maintenance Invoicing and Reporting
    • Manage maintenance invoicing and reporting
    • Ensure deadlines are met
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure maintenance work is compliant with corporate standards, relevant legislation, and workplace health and safety
Requirements for Success
  • Minimum 2 Years' Experience
    • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a property maintenance or facilities management context
  • Contractor and Stakeholder Management
    • Experience in managing contractors and stakeholders
  • Legislative Knowledge and Compliance
    • Knowledge and application of relevant legislation requirements, codes, and standards
  • Financial Management
    • Experience in managing site maintenance budgets and work orders
  • Technical Skills
    • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and MS Office programs, including Excel
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
    • Ability to communicate with tenants and stakeholders
