We are a leading emergency service agency responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland.
Our team is comprised of the Fire and Rescue Service (FRS), the Rural Fire Service (RFS) and the State Emergency Service (SES).
Salary RangeThe estimated salary range for this role is between $55,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionThis exciting opportunity is for an Auxiliary Firefighter to join our team in Millaa Millaa. As an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will be part of a dynamic team that responds to fire and other emergency incidents.
You will also contribute to community education activities, promote community safety and emergency preparedness, and develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses.
Key Requirements- Eligible to apply for, or hold a current Blue Card.
- Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable).
- Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station.
- Australian Permanent Resident Status.
- Manual C Class driver's licence.
- Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team.
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by contributing to community education activities.
- Develop and maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses.
- Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
- Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.
