Job Title: Executive Officer

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role that allows you to make a real impact in the field of disease preparedness? We are seeking an experienced Executive Officer to join our team and support the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness.

Job Description:

Support Australia's frontline defence against emerging infectious diseases

  • Manage operations, reporting, strategic communications, and planning for the ACDP Directorate.
  • Provide high-level advice to the ACDP Directorate on stakeholder and external interactions.
  • Formulate and prepare responses to information requests, reports, and strategic communications.
  • Lead or manage sensitive projects aligned with CSIRO's strategy and research priorities.
  • Coordinate reporting, planning activities, and leadership meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (preferably biological or animal sciences) or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent written communication skills, capable of preparing complex scientific, strategic, and government reports.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills in ambiguous or urgent situations.
  • High-level organizational skills to manage competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive approach and effective collaboration across teams and external partners.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, engagement, and reporting.
