Senior Franchise Lawyer

Our client, a leading franchising business based in Melbourne and operating across Victoria and NSW, is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join their team.

About the Role:

• Provide day-to-day legal support to the business, focusing on franchising and leasing matters.
• Act as the main point of contact for legal issues and liaise with internal stakeholders to draft, negotiate, and review agreements.
• Refer complex or specialist legal matters to external law firms and manage those relationships.
• Provide legal advice on franchising, including agreements, renewals, terminations, and compliance with franchise laws.
• Draft, review, and negotiate leasing agreements for properties across the network.

Requirements:

• A qualified lawyer able to practice without restrictions in Victoria.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in franchising, with demonstrable experience in franchise agreements and commercial property leasing.
• Strong communication skills and confidence to interact with colleagues, franchise partners, and external counsels.
