Our Sydney office is seeking a seasoned Tax Senior to join our dynamic team.

The role involves advising on the tax aspects of significant M&A and financing transactions, structuring and restructuring corporate groups and investment vehicles, and providing bespoke tax planning services.

As a senior member of the team, you will also manage disputes with the ATO and state revenue authorities, collaborate with colleagues and counsel, and mentor junior lawyers.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have 4–8+ years' experience advising on M&A and financing arrangements, strong technical and strategic skills, leadership qualities, and a collaborative approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advise on the tax aspects of significant M&A and financing transactions
  • Structure and restructure corporate groups and investment vehicles
  • Provide bespoke tax planning services
  • Manage disputes with the ATO and state revenue authorities
  • Collaborate with colleagues and counsel while mentoring junior lawyers
