Chief Governance Officer

Austal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced corporate secretary to join our team. As an Assistant Company Secretary, you will provide support to the General Counsel & Company Secretary with ASX and corporate compliance obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Company Secretary with ASX and Corporations Act compliance
- Assist in coordinating Board meetings and preparing meeting materials
- Administer and manage employee share plan obligations
- Contribute to corporate reporting and governance, including ESG reporting and governance statements
- Perform other company secretarial duties as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years' experience in a company secretarial role within an ASX-listed environment or in close support of the Company Secretary
- Strong understanding of ASX Listing Rules and relevant compliance requirements
- Knowledge of ESG and corporate governance reporting obligations
- Familiarity with proxy adviser engagement and stakeholder communications
- Experience with employee share plans and their administration
- Solid grasp of corporate governance principles for ASX-listed entities
- Understanding of shareholder meetings and related stakeholder engagement
- Commercial, pragmatic approach to preparing corporate documentation
- Foundational knowledge of Corporations Law
