Mental Health Specialist

Lives Lived Well is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Specialist to join our team in Warwick, covering the surrounding region and local government area. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support and services to individuals in need, working closely with our Program Team Lead to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual therapy sessions to address various mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, grief, and cognitive impairments.
- Conduct assessments, interventions, and prevention strategies, applying evidence-based theory and evaluating the efficacy of psychological treatments or programs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling or treatments, and modify plans and diagnoses as necessary, ensuring appropriate clinical risk management strategies are in place to keep clients safe.
- Engage in regular supervision and team meetings, referring clients to other treating professionals, institutions, or support services as required.
- AASW Mental Health accredited Social Worker or General Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA.
- A genuine passion for social justice and making a difference in marginalized, vulnerable, and disadvantaged groups in the community.
- Openness and a non-judgmental approach, with high-level interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a clinical and research team, and independently to meet project deliverables.
- Experience in clinical risk assessment and management, knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks, and dedication to ensuring confidentiality.
- A current Australian Driver's license.
