We are seeking a skilled Cook/Chef to join our team at Peakline Pty Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of meals for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, to a high standard.
  • Menu Planning: Ensure menus, food standards, procedures, and processes are followed.
  • Culinary Leadership: Supervise and manage kitchen operations as required, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
  • Supply Chain Management: Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations, ordering food supplies as needed.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available, such as vegetables and spices.
  • Culinary Innovation: Follow the guidance of the executive or sous chef and contribute to new ways of presentation or dishes.
  • Cooking Efficiency: Optimize the cooking process, focusing on speed and quality.
  • Communication: Liaise with kitchen staff, directors, and other stakeholders regarding potential preparation issues, enforcing strict health and hygiene standards.
  • Teamwork: Maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation, helping to train staff as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Cook Position: Hold a Certificate III in Hospitality – Commercial Cookery (essential) or higher, with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Chef Position: Hold an AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Attributes: Demonstrate a professional approach, ability to work under pressure, organizational and time management skills, excellent attention to detail, and leadership skills.
