The Role & The Team

This role supports the effective delivery of cyber security capability across the organisation. As a member of the Airservices Cyber Security team within the Chief Technology Enablement Office, you will play a critical role in providing cyber operations, security solutions engineering, and cyber governance support.

You will analyse cyber threats, support day-to-day security activities within cyber operations, governance, and/or security solutions engineering spaces. Your core objectives and responsibilities will include supporting delivery of enterprise cyber security operations and governance capability, as well as analysing security events of interest or identifying opportunities for tuning and using defensive measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the effective delivery of cyber security capability across the organisation.
  • Provide cyber operations, security solutions engineering, and cyber governance support.
  • Analyse cyber threats and support day-to-day security activities within cyber operations, governance, and/or security solutions engineering spaces.
  • Support the analysis of security events of interest or identifying opportunities for tuning and using defensive measures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Cyber Security industry certifications and/or industry certifications (desirable).
  • An inherent passion for cyber security and service excellence.
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical or security support environment.
  • Good investigative analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver and support cyber security operational services.
  • Familiarity with general information security concepts and practices.
  • Working knowledge of common attack vectors, threat tactics, and attacker techniques.
  • A proactive approach to customer issues and problem resolution.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to set clear objectives and monitor performance.
  • An excellent ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and engage with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
About the Opportunity

This is a two-year fixed-term full-time position based in Brisbane or Canberra with flexible and hybrid working conditions. Remuneration range $95,773 to $100,542 plus 14% superannuation.
