At Origin, we are seeking a skilled Terminal Operations Specialist to join our team at Somerton. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the terminal, including the filling of LPG cylinders, loading and unloading of trucks, and maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Filling of LPG cylinders
  2. Loading and unloading of trucks
  3. Maintaining accurate records
  4. Assisting with daily operations and tasks as required

The ideal candidate will have a physical job with variety, teamwork, and opportunity. As part of a small site team, you will be responsible for a range of site activities, including:

  • Forklift Licence holder
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to maintain a calm and focused manner in busy, noisy or emergency situations

About the Role

The Terminal Operations Specialist will play a key role in the daily operations of the terminal. This includes:

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the terminal
  • Maintaining accurate records of all activities
  • Assisting with daily operations and tasks as required

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Forklift Licence
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to maintain a calm and focused manner in busy, noisy or emergency situations

Working Hours

This role works Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 6:00pm with some pre and post shift overtime and weekend overtime available particularly during busy periods.

Reporting to the Somerton Terminal Manager, your key accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

  1. Receive, Check, Load/Unload and Dispatch in accordance with company Operating Procedures, all LPG consigned to the Terminal
  2. Maintain a working stock of full, tested LPG Exchange and In-Situ Cylinders
  3. To deliver LPG cylinders to domestic and commercial customers by cylinder truck
