Resin Plant Manager Position Overview

This challenging role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team and drive operational excellence in the production of resins. As Resin Plant Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operational Leadership:
    Manage daily plant operations, aligning with business objectives and quality standards.
  • EH&S Compliance and Culture:
    Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
  • Production and Performance Management:
    Drive manufacturing performance through KPIs and continuous improvement programs.
  • People Leadership:
    Lead, coach, and develop a diverse operations team, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Financial Accountability:
    Develop and manage operating budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and adhering to financial controls.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned plant operations and timely resolution of technical and quality issues.
  • Strategic Planning and Improvement:
    Identify and implement medium- to long-term strategies to increase plant capability and reduce waste.
Requirements for Success
  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a plant or operations management role.
  • Strong knowledge of resin or chemical process technology, modern manufacturing practices, and EH&S regulations.
  • Proven track record in leading teams, managing budgets, and delivering operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
