About the role

At MA Services Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Automation Technician to join our team in Western Victoria. This full-time position will play a crucial part in providing expert technical support and maintenance for our clients' automated systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance and inspections of automated systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with automated equipment, using strong analytical skills to identify root causes
  • Repair and replace malfunctioning components, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, offering expert advice and guidance
  • Document and maintain detailed records of all service activities, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting
  • Collaborate with the broader technical team to share knowledge and best practices, driving continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as an Automation Technician or Maintenance Engineer, ideally within the Trades & Services industry
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment, including multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required, with a flexible approach to work scheduling
  • A relevant technical qualification or certification, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field
