Heavy Vehicle Technician Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Wacol, Brisbane. As a key member of our workshop, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of high-quality vehicles, including Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Mack, and UD Trucks.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, with day and afternoon shifts available. The successful candidate will be required to undergo appropriate background checks and medical screening.

Key Responsibilities
  • Steering and suspension repairs
  • Electrical faults diagnosis and repair
  • Braking systems diagnosis and repair
  • Component overhauls
  • Driveline repairs
  • Preventative maintenance services and repairs
  • Offsite and breakdown repairs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Heavy Commercial Vehicle mechanical qualification (unfortunately we cannot accept Fitter qualifications)
  • Experience working with Volvo, Mack, or UD brands or European truck brands
  • Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
  • A proactive attitude with a drive to work efficiently
  • A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset
