Job Title: HGV Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) operator to join our parks and open spaces team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating large vehicles and equipment for scheduled and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate HGVs, trailers, and various attachments for scheduled and reactive maintenance.
  • Carry out park maintenance activities including landscaping, waste removal, and asset care.
  • Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with the public in our parks and open spaces.
  • Maintain high standards of Work Health & Safety in all tasks.
  • Work across multiple locations within the local government area.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • You have a current MR Drivers Licence.
  • You have proven experience operating HGVs, trailers, and a range of attachments.
  • You have experience in parks and open space maintenance, including the use of relevant tools and equipment.
  • You have a strong understanding and commitment to Work Health & Safety practices.
  • You are physically capable of performing manual outdoor work in all weather conditions.
  • You work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are reliable, proactive, and adaptable to changing tasks and schedules.
  • You are a clear and respectful communicator, especially when engaging with members of the public.
  • You take pride in maintaining public spaces and contributing to community wellbeing.
  • You are willing and able to work across multiple locations within the local government area.
