We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Performance Engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams and implement performance tuning solutions for cloud and in-house applications.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with custom coding in Java, developing non-functional requirements, capacity planning, chaos engineering, and SRE. They will lead the design, development, and execution of performance test plans and test cases for Big Data, Payment's solutions, and multi-cloud and third-party applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain automated performance testing scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Utilize Microsoft Azure PaaS services, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Spark, Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake (Azure ELZ) for performance testing and optimization.
  • Work with Cloudera Big Data technologies, Payments, Channel, Kafka, microservices Teradata, and Oracle to assess and enhance performance.
  • Manage batch processes and scheduling using Control-M scheduler.
  • Provide detailed performance analysis reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
  • At least 8-12 years of experience with Information Technology.
  • Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
