Job Title: Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our residential team at HammondCare North Turramurra. As a specialist nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, responsive care to our residents.

About the Role:

  • You will work closely with the care management team to develop and implement individualised care plans that cater to the unique needs of each resident.
  • Educate and mentor care staff on clinical areas and processes, ensuring they have the necessary skills to deliver exceptional care.
  • Consultative in case management and clinical decision making, providing expert advice to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Clinical oversight and professional competence as a registered nurse, upholding the highest standards of care.
  • Implement and support a resident-centred approach to care, prioritising comfort and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Availability on Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday, or as needed.
  • Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative.
  • Have knowledge and experience of caring for individuals with dementia and their specific needs.
  • Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people and want to make a positive impact on their lives.
  • Strong administrative and computer skills.
  • Current AHPRA registration with ideally 2-3 years' experience in an aged care setting.
