Maths Teacher Opportunity at Matrix Education

Matrix Education is seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to join our team at one of our Sydney campuses.

This role is ideal for a current NESA accredited Teacher or a postgraduate student (MTeach, MD or PhDc) looking for an ongoing casual teaching position with stability.

You will have the opportunity to work with a fun and talented team in a great work environment, with minimal lesson preparation required as lessons and resources are provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term, with all lesson materials and resources prepared
  • Teaching opportunities available on weekdays during the NSW school holiday period
  • Ongoing monitoring of student's academic progress through marking of short weekly quizzes
  • Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for teaching
  • Previous experience teaching secondary Maths in a classroom setting
  • Extensive knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in stage 4, 5, and 6 Maths
  • Completed their degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Postgraduate studies in the above listed disciplines will be highly regarded
