Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking reliable and self-motivated Field Research Officers to work on a long-running government travel study. As a Field Research Officer, you will be responsible for approaching households, recruiting participants, and collecting data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Approach 30 pre-selected addresses per workload and recruit households to participate in the study
  • Complete a short questionnaire with each household and place travel diaries with household members
  • Make appointments to return to households and assist in completing the travel diaries
  • Have the ability to learn how to use a tablet and accurately record outcomes of every call on the tablet

Requirements:

  • Weekend and weekday availability, including 2 required weekday evening shifts
  • A National Police Check or willingness to obtain
  • A reliable car and current driver's license
  • A mobile phone and email address
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of computers, mobile phones, or tablets
  • Interviewing experience desired but not necessary
  • A clean and presentable appearance with a professional and friendly attitude

What We Offer:

A competitive hourly rate and per kilometre reimbursement when using your car. Rosters will be provided one month in advance for easy planning.
