Job Title:

Lead Software Engineer for Automotive and Industrial Solutions

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to oversee the development of software solutions for automotive and industrial applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive the growth and success of a team of engineers working on software projects for automotive and industrial clients
  • Promote Canonical's products and services within the industrial and automotive community, participating in relevant standards consortia
  • Collaborate with product managers to refine the strategic direction for automotive initiatives at Canonical
  • Establish and execute a comprehensive engineering roadmap for the automotive team at Canonical

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong background in software engineering, Linux, and open-source technologies
  • Knowledge of industry and automotive standards such as ISO21434, ISO26262, SOTIF, IEC 65108
  • In-depth expertise in Linux packages and embedded systems development
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages
  • Hands-on experience in automotive sectors, including functional safety, embedded systems, cloud computing, and related software trends
