Automotive Technician Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Automotive Technician to join a dynamic team within a thriving dealership environment. The ideal candidate will possess a Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Service and Repair. Experience in both main dealerships and independent workshops is highly valued. An MOT license is advantageous but not mandatory.

The remuneration package is competitive and reflects the candidate's experience, with an expected total earnings of around £49,000 plus various performance-based incentives. If you are a qualified Automotive Technician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity.

This position is based in a busy automotive workshop, where you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a diverse range of vehicles. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and efficiency, ensuring all work meets dealership standards and is accompanied by the necessary documentation. There are ample opportunities for overtime, and a bonus system is in place to reward productivity.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  1. Perform service, diagnostics, and repairs on vehicles to high standards.
  2. Collaborate effectively with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control.
  3. Occasionally engage with customers to provide expert technical insights.
  4. Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and industry developments.
  5. Deliver exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and referrals.
  6. Maintain organized workspaces and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
Candidate Requirements

We seek individuals who can demonstrate the following skills:

  1. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  2. Attention to detail.
  3. Capability to work effectively under pressure.
  4. Commitment to quality.
  5. Strong communication skills.
  6. Possession of a full driving license.
  7. MOT certification is a plus.

A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience is essential for this role. While not mandatory, holding a valid MOT Smart Card would be beneficial.
