Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and thriving workplace. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive EHS risk assessments to ensure the implementation of effective measures to control and mitigate risks.

Additionally, you will oversee induction programs for new starters within your diverse portfolio, guide the EHS function on site, and develop procedures and tools tailored for our EHS Management System.

Furthermore, you will maintain accurate records and documentation of the site, demonstrating a strong focus on compliance with safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive EHS risk assessments
  • Oversee induction programs
  • Guide the EHS function on site
  • Develop EHS procedures and tools
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate with site teams to foster and enhance the EHS culture
  • Prepare and deliver an EHS training plan and program
  • Facilitate internal EHS audits

About You:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional who holds qualifications in Workplace, Health and Safety (Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or similar). You should demonstrate a deep understanding of local legal requirements, particularly in the context of Rail Safety.

Key attributes include initiative, drive, and resilience, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels within the project. Previous experience in the rail industry or a similar safety-critical environment is highly desirable.
