About the Role

Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer to join our Applied Science team in Melbourne, Victoria. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and utilizing advanced numerical analysis and computational methods to support our Defence and Protective Design and Security portfolios.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and experience in Finite Element Analysis and Computation Fluid Dynamics. You will be working closely with our team of specialist consultants to deliver high-quality solutions to complex engineering problems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and utilize advanced numerical analysis and computational methods to support our Defence and Protective Design and Security portfolios.
  • Support test and evaluation programs for the certification of military platforms and equipment.
  • Research and interpret applicable codes and standards.
  • Contribute to advancing the state of the art in our community of practice.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engineer with a strong understanding of engineering principles. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or a related major and experience in Finite Element Analysis and Computation Fluid Dynamics. Familiarity with software development and mechanical testing is also beneficial.

The successful applicant must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to achieve and maintain an Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
