About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring networking solutions, as well as mentoring junior network engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain data network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, WAN optimizers)
  • Monitor performance and ensure network availability and reliability
  • Maintain all IP addressing, including assignment of subnets, IP pools, and VLAN allocations
  • Document network and security policies, procedures, design, and configurations
  • Perform 3rd tier support for internal customers
  • Assist with incident response
  • Upgrade and maintain infrastructure and systems during appropriate outage windows

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive knowledge and experience working with enterprise networks, combined with high-level analytical and troubleshooting skills, and expert-level abilities in maintaining the stability and performance of the network across the organisation.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of IP networking and networking protocols
  • Demonstrated knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and DNS technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Cisco products (switch/routing, UCS, WLCs, Meraki, ThousandEyes, ISE, Prime, etc)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in network principles and technical understanding of IT security-related technologies
  • Strong Communication skills, including the ability to write procedural, process, and reporting documentation
