About the Role

CSR Limited is a leading Australian manufacturing business seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for performing general mechanical maintenance and breakdown work, including fault diagnosis and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain operational machines and complete planned maintenance tasks
  • Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs
  • Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your Manager
  • Perform mechanical fitting maintenance activities related to blenders, conveyors, gearboxes/drives, Pneumatics, pumps, bearings rollers etc.
  • Fabrication-Simple stick and MiG welding
  • Machine tools - Occasional use of milling machine, lathe and pedestal drill
  • Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping

Requirements:

  • Manufacturing or Building background
  • Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or Boilermaker Certificate or similar
  • Good attendance
