Job Overview

The Director of Graduate Medical Education is responsible for overseeing the operations and administration of residency and fellowship training programs at multiple hospitals. This role ensures compliance with accreditation standards and provides strategic leadership in program development and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer residency and fellowship programs to achieve ACGME, ADA, CPME, CODA, and RRC accreditation standards.
  • Develop and implement Graduate Medical Education functions, including policy and procedure development, budget management, and staff supervision.
  • Provide organizational leadership and strategic direction for Graduate Medical Education.
  • Liaise between Designated Institutional Official (DIO), residency coordinators, house staff, and program directors to facilitate efficient operations and problem-solving.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Masters degree or equivalent combination of Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years related experience.
  • Five years' management experience with demonstrated accomplishments in planning, organizing, leadership, and strategic program development.
  • Knowledge of graduate medical education, ECFMG, Department of State, ACGME, CODA, ADA, CPME, and Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine policies and processes.
