Job Title: Electrical Design Specialist
">We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Design Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-level electrical design and technical support to ensure compliance with relevant standards and statutory regulations.
">About the Role
">This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will maintain currency of technology and best practices within the high-voltage power reticulation systems, project engineering, and electrical design fields.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Monitor and control projects to ensure timely completion.
- Understand and ensure compliance with codes of practice and safe systems of work.
- Work with PLCs, VSDs, and perform electrical projects from conception to implementation.
- Identify short- to long-term improvement opportunities regarding plant reliability and asset management.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot electrical maintenance and process issues on day-to-day projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will need to possess demonstrated experience in mining, manufacturing, or other production environments.
">You should have competency in structured data analysis and logical investigation methods, such as RCA and FMECA.
">Experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems is also required.
">In addition, you will need to be able to produce budgets and financial reporting, and possess strong PC computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and remote access software.

Technical Requirements
">The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in Rockwell and Allen Bradley PCS hardware and software, as well as Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and Soft Starters.
">They will also have knowledge of HV/LV distribution system design, Electrical Substation, and sub-circuit distribution system design and engineering.
">A strong interpersonal skillset with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people is also essential.
