We are seeking a professional to fill the role of HR Generalist. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to various departments within the organization.

Job Summary

The HR Generalist will be responsible for:

  • Providing instruction and guidance to departments in the absence of senior HR staff
  • Assisting in the implementation of organizational policies and procedures
  • Providing accurate advice and guidance on employment-related matters to employees
  • Training and supporting the HR team
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements regarding discrimination, sexual harassment, minimum conditions, OH&S, grievance and disciplinary procedures
  • Managing apprentices and trainees through close contact with managers and external training organizations
  • Overseeing performance management and training systems
  • Coordinating visa and sponsorship information, as well as assisting with administration tasks

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of Industrial Relations, Recruitment, Privacy and Training legislation
  • Previous experience in a hotel or resort environment (preferably)
  • A Human Resources Qualification or at least 3 years of HR management experience
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Intermediate level skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Office 365 SharePoint
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A current driver's license
