About the Role

The City of Gold Coast is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Stormwater Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering, Design and Standards Branch, you will be responsible for delivering minor and complex multidisciplinary engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake hydraulic modeling using TUFLOW software to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Produce high-quality documentation detailing the assumptions, methodology, results, and conclusions of the works undertaken.
  • Review design drawings to ensure the information related to proposed infrastructure is correct.
  • Adhere to the City's project management methodology to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Experience in software such as TUFLOW, QGIS, and ArcGIS.
  • Experience in utilizing guidelines such as QUDM, Austroads, and TMR specifications.
  • Experience in 12d and URBS – desired but not essential.
  • Experience in other specialist software or water-related skills – desired but not essential.
  • A commitment to undertaking continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Current C Class unrestricted Driver Licence.

About the Team

The Engineering, Design and Standards Branch is responsible for infrastructure engineering, design, survey, specifications, asset standards, electrical infrastructure, and contributed assets across all customer and community-facing infrastructure classes.
