Due to the ongoing expansion of the company, we are seeking a skilled and driven Planner/Estimator with a robust Mechanical background to enhance our Engineering Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing detailed quotations
  2. Interpreting both simple and intricate 2D and 3D drawings
  3. Formulating strategies to attract new clients while maintaining existing relationships
  4. Coordinating and executing project plans
  5. Creating comprehensive timelines for project execution
  6. Completing necessary documentation for site operations
  7. Understanding and analyzing detailed designs for ongoing projects
  8. Assisting in the preparation and submission of tender proposals

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  1. Relevant Trade Qualifications Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Fitter/Boilermaker Welder/Fabrication Trade
  2. Experience in Estimation
  3. Proficiency in reading technical designs and drawings
  4. Background in Production Planning
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  7. Dedication to safety and quality standards
  8. In-depth knowledge of various structural steel and piping types
  9. Strong mathematical skills for calculations based on drawings and specifications to prepare quotations
  10. Financial acumen is highly regarded
  11. Computer proficiency, particularly in MS Excel and MS Word; familiarity with MS Project is advantageous
  12. Ability to work independently and take initiative
