Job Opportunity:
This is an exciting chance to be part of a Federal Government Agency's Fraud and Compliance team, conducting internal and external fraud investigations.
The role involves working closely with the Fraud Intelligence and Investigations branch to detect and respond to internal and external payment fraud.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the creation and delivery of financial intelligence outputs and outcomes.
- Collecting financial data, undertaking analysis, and producing tactical financial intelligence reports.
- Collaborating with management, operational teams, and external partner agencies to ensure intelligence outputs meet strategic and operational needs.
- Contributing to the development of business rules, refinements, and suggested areas of analysis and investigation.
- Identifying emerging intelligence risks and evolving methodologies in relation to participants, partners, and providers.
- Conducting discussions with staff, customers, and third parties to obtain necessary information.
- Providing ongoing intelligence support for matters referred for investigation.
- Offering administrative support to the team and contributing to complex projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Prior experience in fraud investigations.
- A Certificate IV in Government (Investigation) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High-level problem-solving abilities.
- An understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals, as well as experience supporting people with disability to maximise participation in community.
You must hold Australian Citizenship and have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at Negative Vetting Level 1.
