Pit Crew Member Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our airport operations team as a Pit Crew member. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and can lift and move heavy bags.

This position requires manual handling experience, with the ability to lift and move bags up to 32kg each. If you have previous experience in manual handling roles such as warehouse work, picker and packer, trades or labouring, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading luggage and freight from aircraft
  • Operating baggage tugs and assisting with aircraft door operations
  • Safely loading pets into the aircraft cargo hold
  • Working effectively in a team environment to ensure seamless airport operations
About You:
  • You possess physical strength and adaptability
  • You thrive under pressure and perform well in an ever-changing environment
  • You hold an Australian driver's licence and the right to live and work in Australia
  • You are flexible and able to work a rotating shift roster, including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and public holidays
