Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Analyst to join our team at Foot Locker.


About the Role: As a Senior Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for recording all payroll-related activity in the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and accounts are reconciled. You will partner with Workforce Management to prepare Wage budgeting, forecasts, and variance analysis.




  • Key Responsibilities: Perform month and year-end closing activities and payroll accruals (vacation, social securities, pension, wage tax, etc.).
  • Calculate Inter Department and Inter Company Payroll Reclasses.
  • Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of all payroll movements and accruals.
  • Liaise with the HR and C&B teams on issues, policy changes, legal and regulatory requirements, to ensure any business changes are reflected correctly and accurately in our accounting.
  • Prepare Annual Wage budgets, monthly forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Calculate, forecast, and reconcile field-level bonus payments.
  • Calculate, forecast, and reconcile Wages associates with Store E-comm fulfillment.
  • Participate and prepare for internal and external audits.
  • Prepare Wage reporting to Business partners on KPIs and Financial results.
  • Complete Payroll and Wage Analysis as required to provide insights to the business.
  • Comply with all internal control procedures and SOX requirements and improve (SOX) internal controls.
  • Continuous assessment of performance efficiency and profit improvement opportunities.
  • Liaise on a variety of ad-hoc projects.
  • Act as a strategic partner who monitors and anticipates changes that impact both the payroll and business needs and requirements.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Minimum three to five years accounting or financial analysis experience.
  • Experience in Payroll or understanding of Payroll Accounting requirements.
  • Experience in providing analysis on high volumes of data.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Team player with a service-oriented attitude.
  • Analytical thinker who understands processes.
  • Pro-active, well-organized, and flexible.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
