As a pipeline engineer, you will be responsible for utilizing existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, leveraging your knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to pipeline engineering.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on basic engineering tasks
- Apply knowledge and skills to complete routine assignments under close supervision and mentoring
- Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures
- Organize own work to meet deadlines set by others
- Clearly communicate information, asking questions, and checking for understanding
- Gain an understanding of the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements
- Prepare/Review MTOs for requisitions
- Review vendor data with guidance from colleagues
- Develop awareness of costs related to own work
- Become familiar with P&IDs, Line List, Equipment Layouts, Plot Plans, Piping Specifications, and Design Basis
- Assist with the preparation of Special Piping Items and required datasheets
- Assist with the preparation of Piping Material and Valve specification
- Become familiar with fundamentals and Code requirements for Pipe Stress Calculations
- Become familiar with pipe Stress Analysis software (Caesar II) and assist with simple stress analysis
- Assist with design calculations like pipe wall thickness, reinforcement pad, trunnion support, etc.
- Assist with Material Requisitions, Technical Queries, Tech bid Evaluations, and Purchase Requisitions of Engineered Piping Equipment
